Dumping oyster shells into the mudflats of Little Creek Cove in Virginia Beach

U.S. Sailors with Amphibious Construction Battalion 2 dump oyster shells into the mudflats of Little Creek Cove in Virginia Beach, Va., April 28, 2010, to establish two new artificial oyster reefs. The oysters being used are naturally-occurring eastern oysters that can individually filter 50 gallons of water each day.
