Group handshake in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Representatives of the seven participating nations in Cobra Gold 2011 conclude the opening ceremony with a group handshake in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Feb. 7, 2011. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the multinational exercise. Cobra Gold is a regularly scheduled joint/combined exercise designed to ensure regional peace and strengthen the ability of the Royal Thai Armed Forces to defend Thailand or respond to regional contingencies.
